These four images hail from a series of mirrored acrylic wall sculptures that posit escape as a form of resistance – in this case, through time-space, through the wormhole. This seductive notion of escape, underscored by the works’ enormous kinetic energy, is counterbalanced by the reflective quality of the mirrored acrylic. As they escape beyond the border of the wall, these pieces ask, what if the best chance at resolving the problems we most desire to escape is by empathy, radical self- reflection, fight rather than flight? This work was debuted at Herron Galleries in 2024.
